What is the SCHOOL CODE/CEEB CODE?

Henry Ford Academy’s SAT/ACT school code/CEEB code is 230778.  This code is most often used when applying to college and to take the ACT and SAT.

HOW DO I REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT?

Students must sign up at www.parchment.com to request transcripts electronically.  All transcripts needed for college must be requested through Parchment.

For non-college related transcripts, students can request a transcript from the following Administrative Team members:

HOW DO I REQUEST A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION?

Who can write a letter of recommendation for students?  Teachers, counselors, principals, coaches, mentors, employers and community leaders. Relatives and family members should NOT recommendations.

Students must complete a letter of recommendation form.  This form can be found on our school e-mail account and the HFA website at www.hfacademy.org.

Be thorough as possible when completing the recommendation form.

Ask someone who knows you well as well as give you a positive recommendation.

Please allow at least one week from the date of submission for pick up.  Students who request a letter of recommendation within days of a deadline will NOT be guaranteed to receive a letter by the deadline.

An ideal time to request a letter of recommendation is at the end of junior year.

Remember that writing a letter is NOT mandatory for staff. A staff member can decline to write a letter.

HOW DO I REQUEST A COLLEGE APPLICATION & SAT FEE WAIVER?

Students who qualify for free or reduced lunch during the current school year will be eligible to receive a fee waiver.  The student’s name must appear on the current school years free/reduced lunch list in order to qualify.  Parents must complete a free/reduced lunch application each school year.  To complete and submit a lunch application, please contact Mrs. Tatum at (313) 982-6200 ext. 2027 or ctatum@hfa-dearborn.org

HOW DO I SIGN UP/REQUEST SCORES/RETAKE SAT(ACT)? 

Former students and recent graduates must go to the following websites to order a copy of test scores:

HOW DO I REQUEST A FSA ID FOR FINANCIAL AID? 

Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use an FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your federal student aid documents. Go to https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm to create new FSA ID.

HOW DO I REQUEST A WORK PERMIT?

Students can pick up a work permit for both the Museum and Village office. Students should obtain the following permit:

  • CA - 7 or 16 and 17 years of age (Yellow permit)
  • CA - 6 for minors UNDER 16 years of age (Pink permit)

WHAT IS THE COMMUNITY SERVICE REQUIREMENT AND WHERE CAN I PICK UP A COMMUNITY SERVICE VERIFICATION FORM?

Students must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service as a graduation requirement. Community Service Verification Forms can be found in both the Museum and Village offices. Complete the form, keep a copy of the form for your records and submit the original to the mailbox labeled Community Service in the Museum or Village office.
